Wales (Welsh: Cymru) is located on the western side of Great Britain, England is to our East, and the Irish Sea to our West. Wales is a country within the United Kingdom , it is also an elective region of the European Union. Wales has a population estimated at three million North Beach Tenbyand is a bilingual country, with both English and Welsh having equal status. Wales has a land area of 8,023 square miles (20,779 square kms) with 750 miles (1,200km) of coastline that runs from North to South containing beautiful bays and beaches with a great many beaches having been awarded Blue Flag status for their safety and cleanliness.

Wales offers a diverse and mountainous landscape with its lush forests and rolling hills, deep valleys and winding rivers are bordered bySnowdonia National Park rambling woodlands and meadows, outside our towns and cities you can drive for many miles through quaint villages surrounded by rich green farmlands, farms are plentiful and varied.

In our countryside you will not drive far without seeing grazing cattle, horses and lots of sheep, happily grazing on the welsh mountain sheepmountains and on rich lowland meadows and pastures, and almost everywhere you go throughout Wales, you will also come across Red Dragons......on our buildings, wall plaques, sign posts, brochures and especially on the official flag of Wales!

The Red Dragon is an official emblem of Wales, we have several; the Daffodil, which is very popular, and during springtime our Red Dragon the Welsh Flagland is alive with a golden glow provided by these beautiful flowers throughout the countryside and gardens.

A lesser used emblem is the Leek. You will see the Leek emblem used as the Cap badge of the Welsh Guards, a Regiment within the Household Division of the British Army.

Wales has many Castles (over 600), the Welsh National Opera (one of the world’s premier Opera Companies), the National Botanic Garden of Wales (the biggest single-span glasshouse in the world!) .......more to be added.....

Snowdonia National Park

    Snowdonia (Welsh: Eryri) is a region of North Wales and a national park of 838 square miles (2,170 km2) in area. It was the first to be designated of the three National Parks in Wales, in 1951. The English name for the area derives from Snowdon, which is the highest mountain in Wales at 1,085 metres (3,560 ft). In Welsh, the area is named Eryri.
